This is what the attractions of the Water Factory look like. Almost everything is ready

The opportunity to see the Water Factory from the inside was provided by the city council’s visiting committee. The tour around the nooks and crannies of the water park and the educational center lasted almost two hours, and we still couldn’t see all the attractions.

– As you can see, the facility is finished. We are in the process of obtaining an occupancy permit. This is a procedure conducted by an external body, so I cannot say when it will end, but it will definitely be soon, said President Stępień.

The first to use the facility will be “testers”, i.e. residents of different ages who will be asked to check out all the attractions.

From a large swimming pool with various attractions to paddling pools for children

What will they be able to use? In the “water” part, the largest is the indoor recreational swimming pool with a swing, a volleyball court, climbing nets, a water curtain, hydromassage loungers, massagers, geysers, and a waterfall. There are also paddling pools for children with toys, a swimming pool with a large screen and a bar next to it, and, of course, slides.

Separated from the rest of the facility to make it quieter, there is a 25-meter sports swimming pool with six lanes. It will open at 6 a.m., 3 hours earlier than the rest of the complex.

A large saunarium and educational center

Each sauna is different, with a different arrangement and a program of additional attractions. For example, in the volcano hall you can experience a volcanic eruption, and in Havana you can move for a moment to the Caribbean. There are also saunas for children, where they can learn sauna culture in appropriate conditions.

– The saunarium is a unique part of the Water Factory. We hired the best people to operate it, headed by a sauna master who previously supervised such a zone in the largest water park in Poland – emphasized President Stępień.

The second building of the Water Factory is occupied by an educational room. The tour will begin with a ride up the animation elevator, which is intended to give the impression of flying into space. Later, the educational path will lead in a spiral winding around a huge model of a water molecule suspended from the ceiling. Along the way, you will be able to visit six thematic educational zones. There is a conference room in the water molecule itself, and underneath it is a place for the most spectacular shows.

– The water park and educational center will be able to accommodate 2,200 people at one time. Our ambitious goal is a total of 3,000 visitors per day, said President Stępień.

Ticket revenues are intended to balance current costs

Fabryka Wody wants to break even from next year in terms of revenues and current operating costs. Both of these columns are supposed to contain PLN 90 million.

Additionally, the city will have to keep repaying subsequent installments of the loan taken out from commercial banks for the construction. By 2041, PLN 164 million has been allocated for this purpose. The construction itself cost less than PLN 350 million.

Yesterday we learned the ticket price list for the Water Factory. For a whole day of fun in the Szczecin aquapark we will pay PLN 85 (discount PLN 70). Using the saunarium costs PLN 50 per hour (reduced PLN 40), and a visit to the educational part costs PLN 37 (reduced PLN 29). Swimming for 1.5 hours in a sports pool costs PLN 30 (discount PLN 20).

The Water Factory was built at the corner of 1 Maja and Sczaniecka streets, in the place of the former Gontynka.
