A 75-year-old woman has died following an accident between a taxi and a car on Monday.
The taxi driver has been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter with serious injuries.
The police were alerted at 12:30 on Monday that two cars had collided on route 26 outside Tidaholm.
The accident, which was a side collision, involved a car and a taxi.
Relatives have been notified.
— The driver and a female passenger sat in the taxi. The taxi driver, a man in his 50s, is taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter and the doctor on board states that he has serious injuries, says Thomas Fuxborg.
The woman who died was a passenger in the taxi.
In the passenger car was a woman in her 30s, who was awake and able to speak but complained of pain in her back. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Her injury status is unclear.
– We have started a preliminary investigation regarding carelessness in traffic, says Jon Franzén, press spokesperson for the police in the West region.
