That’s why Mikhalkov was ashamed to honestly say who his wife worked in the USSR

The actor lied to all his friends and acquaintances for several years.

Nikita Mikhalkov and Tatyana Solovieva became husband and wife in 1973. At that time, Mikhalkov was already known for his work in the films “I walk around Moscow”, “The Noble Nest” and others. Tatyana also worked as a fashion model in the All-Union House of Models, where they met.

The young actor fell in love with the catwalk star at their very first meeting, and a romance began between them. However, Mikhalkov did not strive to be honest with his friends and always presented Tatyana as a translator, because she studied in this specialty, and not as a model.

The fact is that Mikhalkov was ashamed of the profession of his chosen one. Models were considered very windy and stupid, and the profession itself was not a status one. Therefore, the artist did not want his lover to be known precisely as a model and “chose” her a more prestigious job. And following the wedding, he practically forced his wife to leave work and devote herself entirely to the family.

Tatyana agreed to her husband’s terms and quit. Now she appears at fashion shows only as a spectator, and she devoted all her time to raising children, and now her grandchildren.
