Behind the powerful slalom grandees Petra Vlhova and Mikaela Shiffrin (+0.24 seconds), Troupe (+2.06) returned to the podium in the night slalom in Courchevel, with Gallhuber, who had been injured for a long time, finishing fourth (+2.62). best World Cup result ever. Even a better ÖSV performance was possible.
Katharina Liensberger, who was third at halftime, slipped back to 18th place following a stop in the second round. Franziska Gritsch recorded her best slalom result of the season in eleventh place in the first race following being separated from the ÖSV. Her teammate Katharina Huber was exactly as fast as her.
The ÖSV technicians are now taking a short Christmas break with the anticipation of a home race. A giant slalom will take place in Lienz on December 28th and a slalom the following day (10 a.m./1 p.m., live ORF1). Shiffrin comes to East Tyrol as the overall World Cup leader, Vlhova as the now 30-time World Cup winner.
