The head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, revealed to Asharq Al-Awsat that Saudi assurances to the legitimate Yemeni government that any agreement that might result from the mediation that Riyadh is conducting with the Houthis with Omani participation will be between the Yemeni government and the Houthis, and that there will be no comprehensive agreement to end the crisis and resume the process. politics outside this framework.
“We encourage and welcome this, and we consider this a good effort by the Kingdom and we support it because we are looking for peace and stability for Yemen and an end to the war,” said the head of the Yemeni Presidential Council.
Asharq Al-Awsat learned that the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council was briefed by the coalition on the discussions taking place. Al-Alimi said, “We believe that discussions and communication are positive actions,” and considered that this “will serve the peace and stability process in Yemen.” And prisoners and all issues, this will be between the government and the Houthis ».
