Morelia, Michoacan. According to Paul Gervasio Soberanis, secretary of the General Medicine Certification Council of the State of Michoacán, the certifications guarantee the medical skills and abilities of the graduates to care for their patients.

He highlighted that the certifications reaffirm the social commitment of graduates, providing them with professional and ethical tools for medical practice.

“A certified doctor will practice the best possible quality for their patients, this does not mean that they are unable to practice medicine, it simply gives you the moral, ethical and professional tool to identify that you are a competent and up-to-date doctor. Society is going to have a capable doctor, who is going to solve community problems and we are going to have a healthy community in the future,” added the Secretary of the General Medicine Certification Council of the State of Michoacán.

Dr. Gervasio commented that UVAQ’s Bachelor of Medicine provides its students with quality training, with social commitment and preparation through medical simulation, within a program internationally accredited by COMAEM.

“They leave with a very valuable commitment to the community, students are trained through basic, intermediate and advanced simulation, when you are in front of the patient they do it in the best way, everyone in the world is working with medical simulation, the school of medicine at UVAQ has been a pioneer in this area”.
