After Nidaa Al-Watan newspaper reported in an article about corruption in real estate departments on Monday, September 25, 2023, about the transfer of ownership of approximately one million square meters within the town of Hrajel to a financier from outside the region without informing the directorate and placing it within the framework of a political party’s effort to make a demographic change in Keserwan, The mayor of Hrajel, Engineer Tony Zogheib, explained to the Jadiduna News platform that a statement of the contents of such a property had not been obtained, pointing out that he ruled out the recent transfer of ownership in terms of apartments and lands of this size.

In the information of our news platform, the late Pierre Fattoush bought real estate, approximately one million square meters ago, in Upper Harajel from the Bank of Lebanon, and the information has confirmed until this moment that his sons have not carried out any sale or transfer of ownership, and there is no intention, according to their sources, to do so, with the emphasis that they are against any demographic change in the area. .
There are also properties in Lal Hubaysh, Al-Khazen, Al-Adham, and Al-Bitar, and there is no information about the transfer of ownership taking place or any intention to do so.

The newspaper shed light on an important topic, which is the repercussions of the closure of real estate affairs departments in Mount Lebanon in particular, as the campaign only targeted this governorate and not the rest.
