Direct: The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, underwent an investigation session in cases of embezzlement, money laundering and illegal enrichment before the first investigating judge in Beirut, Charbel Abu Samra, in the presence of his legal representative and the head of the Cases Authority in the Ministry of Justice, Judge Helena Iskandar.
This comes within the consideration of the communications submitted against him and against his brother Raja Salameh and his assistant Marianne Howayek, which were submitted by the Appellate Public Advocate in Beirut, Judge Raja Hamoush.
The investigating judge, Judge Charbel Abu Samra, decided to release the governor of the Central Bank and summon him to a session next Tuesday to complete the investigation.
