Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched missiles at “terrorist” targets in Syria in retaliation for the double suicide attack in early January in Iran claimed by the Islamic State group, Iranian state media said.
“The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps… identified the gathering places of commanders and key elements linked to recent terrorist operations, particularly ISIS, in the occupied territories of Syria and destroyed them by firing a certain number of ballistic missiles,” he declared Tuesday morning on his Sepah News website, specifying that it was a “response” to the double attack perpetrated in early January in Iran.
