Bodies Found Scattered Across the Multi-Level Residence
Two bodies lay directly outside the front door on Friday, the grim entry point to a crime scene that investigators would soon map across a residential home in Early, Pennsylvania. Inside, the violence claimed nine lives in total, leaving a quiet neighborhood reeling from a mass shooting.
Law enforcement officers responding to the address discovered a chilling trail. Two minor children were located on the lower level, while four additional victims were found scattered across the stairs leading to the second floor. On the upper level, police recovered the body of the 45-year-old male attacker alongside his victims.
A Grandfather Unrecognized by Relatives Before the Massacre
Family members identified the unidentified gunman as the victims’ grandfather. Yet, relatives who spoke after the incident painted a starkly contrasting portrait of the man, stating he always had a smile, was not a conflictive person, and showed no visible signs of anguish or depression prior to the attack.
Authorities have confirmed that the shooter was related to seven of the victims. The eighth fatality was a friend of the pregnant woman who died in the home.
