Sales of residential apartments and villas in Abu Dhabi increased by 300% within 9 months

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Sales of residential apartments and villas in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi grew in the first nine months of this year by 300 percent on an annual basis.

According to the Department of Municipalities and Transport in the emirate, sales of residential apartments and villas in Abu Dhabi in the first nine months of this year recorded about 14.4 billion dirhams, compared to 4.7 billion dirhams during the same period last year.

The department indicated that the number of units sold from the beginning of the year until the end of last September amounted to 6,130 units, a growth of 77 percent over the total number sold in 2022, which amounted to 3,465 units.

It showed that residential apartments topped the demand in the market with 4,476 apartments sold, including traditional apartments and duplexes, at a value of 6.6 billion dirhams, compared to about 3.9 billion dirhams for the sale of 2,633 apartments in 2022.

It was reported that residential villas, including valuable townhouses, achieved the highest sales at 8 billion dirhams for the sale of 1,654 villas, compared to a value recorded at 1.8 billion dirhams for 832 villas last year.

The data showed that approximately 9,700 new housing units were registered during that period through 35 real estate projects, providing different levels of housing units between residential towers and residential villa complexes.

According to recent indicators of registered projects, more than 88 percent of the housing units were included in new projects under construction, amounting to about 8,300 housing units.

Since the beginning of the year, 22 percent of the residential units registered were concentrated in approximately 1,400 units in fully completed projects.
