Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Ekhbariya channel published a report in which it revealed that teachers were monitored informing students that there was no school day before it started.
The announcer explained: “Teachers were observed standing at six o’clock in the morning in front of a school in Riyadh, telling parents that they cannot drop their children off to enter the school under the pretext that today is a holiday, and at six o’clock 34 minutes the school doors were completely closed, and there were no students, especially since The students who entered the school left it after orders from the school administration.”
For his part, the educational advisor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Amiri, said that we had to pay attention that the return would be on Wednesday and the day after, and this is the first time that the return happened at the end of the week, and therefore there had to be a program before Ramadan, an escalating and gradual awareness that leads to ensuring a smooth return.
He continued, “The educational counselors are supposed to have supervisors who visit schools, and when these cases are caught, it is considered a behavioral violation, and the school administration must give a justification for this behavior.”
And he added: “Studying may have been suspended in some schools due to the weather, but if the number of students is small, there are ways and methods for student guidance to deal with students in this situation, but what happened is an individual case that must be directed to and dealt with directly.”
He pointed out the need to communicate with the educational supervision regarding this case, and a group of supervisors from the school administration and student counseling are delegated to meet the school principal and the teachers who carried out this issue, and the reason for what happened is known.
