The real-time tactics role-playing game The DioField Chronicle was only announced at the State of Play, now Square Enix is doing its job and announcing both the release date and a demo version.
Square Enix today announced The DioField Chronicle will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) on September 22nd. The DioField Chronicle is available now to pre-order physically and digitally for PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles and digitally for PC (Steam). The retail version for Nintendo Switch is also available for pre-order and digital pre-order on Nintendo eShop will be available at a later date.
You can also try The DioField Chronicle ahead of release with the free demo, which will be available on August 10th. It shows the beginning of the game and progress from the demo can be carried over to the full version once the game is released.
Anyone who purchases the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive additional equipment that unlocks shortly after the start of the game. Including the Knight’s Spear weapon and Mystic Ring accessory, plus digital versions of The DioField Chronicle soundtrack and artbook. Those who pre-order the Standard Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition of The DioField Chronicle will also receive bonus items to use in-game, including the “Rhopasto Knife” (in an exclusive color) and the “Recruit Circlet”.
The Collector’s Edition Set is available for pre-order in limited quantities exclusively from the Square Enix Store. This set comes with the Standard Edition of the game in a special Collector’s Edition box, which also includes The DioField Chronicle board game and a set of four pins.
