ACTOR Ralph Ineson, known for genre films such as The Witch and Game of Thrones, is in talks to play the villain in Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Ineson, whose 30-year career spans from the Harry Potter films to the recent horror prequel The First Omen, has reportedly landed the lead role of Galactus, the antagonist in the Fantastic Four films.
Galactus is an intergalactic being that feeds on the life force of planets. In Marvel Comics, Galactus, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, appears as a large humanoid figure.
The character made his film debut in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007. At that time he was depicted in the form of a CGI-generated cosmic cloud. It’s a show that audiences don’t like.
In the new Fantastic Four directed by Matt Shakman, Marvel makes an interesting creative choice by setting the story in the 1960s when the super team was first formed.
The screenplay was written by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Peter Cameron (WandaVision) also co-wrote several of the projects.

The big-budget Fantastic Four under the Marvel Cinematic Universe umbrella, has been filming in the UK for the past few weeks ahead of shooting scheduled for mid-summer. Fantastic Four has a release date of July 25, 2025.
The film will star Pedro Pascal playing scientist Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby playing Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn playing Storm’s hotheaded brother Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss -Bachrach plays Richards’ body-challenged friend Ben Grimm (The Thing).
There is also Julia Garner as The Female Silver Surfer. Paul Walter Hauser is among the cast in an undisclosed role. According to some people, he might be the Mole Man or the HERBIE robot.
Don’t forget actor John Malkovich who will also take part in the Fantastic Four film this time. John Malkovich will allegedly join Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four for the first time with character details kept under wraps in The Negative Zone. In the Marvel world, The Negative Zone is a fictional universe parallel to Earth. (Z-2)
