The mayor of Tripoli, Dr. Riyad Yamaq, announced, in a meeting with officials of the Department of Sewage and Emergency Workshops, in his office in the Municipal Palace, “the re-working of mechanisms and workshops following a philanthropist donated basic materials and fuel for emergency matters only,” and said: “Starting today, the workshops have resumed The municipality and its mechanisms work as usual, following a philanthropist generously donated what we need to run the municipality’s work with urgent and necessary matters only to serve the people of Tripoli and its residents.”
He added: “I appeal to the caretaker prime minister-designate Ibn Tripoli and its leader, Najib Mikati, to find a solution for the conduct of municipal work, and to enable workers and employees in the municipality to continue their work as usual in the service of the people of Tripoli and its residents.”
