Writing from Teapa, Tabasco, López Beltrán published a missive addressed directly to Donald Trump, branding the visa cancellation as a "politically motivated, politicking, and propagandistic decision, Hitlerian in style." López Beltrán named U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau—whom he dubbed “the visa revoker”—holding them personally responsible for ordering the measure. He asserted that U.S. authorities possess zero evidence linking him to any immoral or illicit activity.
“I have always guided my public and private life with ideals, principles, and honesty instilled by my parents and practiced by conviction in my political endeavors,” López Beltrán wrote in the statement. He further accused the named American diplomats and officials of operating “like gang bosses dedicated to spying, harassing, intervening, and injuring other countries.”

In his public address, López Beltrán argued that the visa revocation is part of a broader retaliatory campaign against individuals who refuse to submit to authoritarian U.S. interests.
