Fanb officials continue to be deployed in the south of Bolívar state against the armed groups that work in illegal mining.

In the south of the state of Bolívar, uniformed men from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces intervened in the war weapons park of the “3R” gang.

According to the information published by General in Chief Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the Fanb, the military personnel carried out patrol and security tasks in the entity.

In the procedure, more than 26 high-powered short weapons, six submachine guns and seven long weapons were collected.

The authorities also seized chargers, ammunition, grenades and supplies, presumably used to threaten the inhabitants of the communities.

The criminal group “las 3R” is linked to illegal mining, and committing crimes such as assassination, murder and coercion of the population, according to Hernández Lárez.

The Strategic Operational Commander of the Fanb stressed that they will prevent armed groups from establishing themselves in Venezuelan territory, for which they will dismantle facilities and their members will be “legally intervened.”

protected areas

The Fanb follows the deployment on Guyanese soil, especially in protected areas: parks and forest reserves; in which armed groups have promoted illegal mining.
