Alain Claude Bilie By Nze, last Prime Minister of the former head of state, Ali Bongo Ondimba, announced his resignation from his position as 2nd Vice President of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG, former state party) while remaining an activist for this party which remained in power for 55 years.

Bilie By Nze evokes differences within the new party office over certain issues including that of the creation of a truth, justice, reparation and reconciliation commission “so much demanded by the opposition, civil society and the church” .
The former Prime Minister is surprised by the almost automatic alignment of the new party board behind the positions of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI).
Bilie By Nze is outraged by the accusations made against Ali Bongo Ondimba and his successive governments regarding the “massacres” of 2009 and 2016. The former head of government thinks that it is the time to open this file to establish the truth and responsibilities.
