FIFA needs around 20,000 volunteers to serve in around 45 areas. Volunteers will be appointed everywhere, including the stadiums where the World Cup is held and training venues, including the FIFA Fan Zone. Those interested can apply to become a volunteer through the FIFA website (https://volunteer.fifa.com/login). All those who reach 18 years of age by October 1, 2022 can apply. Those with no prior experience in volunteering can also apply. Preference will be given to those who can speak Arabic and English. Volunteer service is required in many places like fan zone, outside the stadium, public transport areas, hotels, etc. FIFA started the volunteer selection project in March last year at an event held at the Katara Amphitheater.
