Obvious tussles but… in what transparency?

The Mauritanians have not done in the lace: 1329 lists for 238 municipalities, 146 for 13 regional councils, the twenty-five recognized parties have completed their discussions on time. While waiting for the mixed national lists and those of young people and women who will also break records, the fight is likely to be difficult. INSAF has certainly invested candidates in all corners of the country but it will have a lot to do to obtain a majority, as its nominations have aroused discontent. Some of its candidates have even withdrawn, under pressure from their tendencies considering that its choices do not reflect the reality on the ground; others so as not to suffer setbacks. It is the first time in any case that a party-state finds itself in such a bad position. Sign of democratic vitality or… bad choices assumed? Despite the repeated warnings addressed to it, INSAF has not bet on the right horses in several localities of the country. And risks paying the costs, although he has made things clear: those who do not respect the party’s choices will suffer the consequences. But the disgruntled did not care and here they rushed to the “parties-bags” to make their own lists, counting on cutting cruppers for an INSAF which refuses to look reality in the face. Beautiful tussles in perspective therefore…provided that everything happens in transparency! Which is far from a foregone conclusion.
