[２日 ロイター] – The Pentagon on Thursday denied Russia’s claims that it had destroyed six Hymers high-mobility rocket artillery systems that the United States supplied to Ukraine following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Russia’s Interfax news agency reported on Tuesday that Defense Minister Shoigu said that six Hymers units had been destroyed since February 24, when Russian forces launched a military operation against Ukraine.
“The United States is aware of Shoigu’s series of allegations. They are again clearly false,” said Todd Breschiel, acting Pentagon spokesman.
“The reality is that Ukraine is successfully utilizing precision missile systems provided by the United States, its allies and others to protect Ukraine from Russia’s brutal and criminal aggression,” he said.
Russia has repeatedly claimed to have attacked and destroyed Hymers, but has yet to provide proof.
