Tragic VTC Murder: Urgent Measures Needed to Protect Drivers, Calls for Justice

The facts occurred on the morning of last Thursday, when the man, in a psychotic crisis, asked for a VTC (Bolt) and fatally stabbed the driver in the vehicle, a man of Moroccan origin. According to the details of the investigation, the suspect had previously requested another VTC, but the driver, disturbed by his agitation, refused to transport him. After his act, the individual took refuge in the victim’s car, forcing several national police patrols to intervene to bring him under control.

The incident aroused great emotion among transport professionals. The Association of VTC Companies of Andalusia described this act as isolated and called for measures to be put in place to protect drivers, in particular those working at night.
