TASS, 25 August. American striker Alex Galchenyuk signed a two-year contract with the St. Petersburg hockey club SKA. This was announced to journalists by the head coach of the St. Petersburg team Roman Rotenberg.
“We are very happy to inform everyone: we have entered into a two-year agreement with Alex Galchenyuk. We are constantly trying to strengthen our squad, to take only the best players who fit our system. Alex completely fits her both in terms of human qualities and as a player. Galchenyuk is 29 years old, in 2012 he was selected under the overall third number in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft by the Montreal club. Last season, Galchenyuk played for Colorado, for which he played 11 matches and did not score with effective actions.
